SPECIFIC PROJECT EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
  • Industrial Hygiene representative of the Effectiveness Review Team which evaluated CH2MHill’s Corrective Actions regarding the Chemical Vapor Issues at the Hanford Tank Farm, Richland, Washington.
  • Provided LO/TO regulatory interpretation assistance to resolve a near-miss issue at the DOE Oak Ridge Site in Tennessee.
  • Developed health and safety training modules and materials for use by a consortium of oil and gas industry companies on a number of occupational hygiene and safety topics.
  • Conducted comprehensive Health and Safety audits of 16 electrical and electronics manufacturing companies of an international hi-tech corporation. Presented a fully-developed plan of action to the corporation to improve its EH&S status and efficiency, including short- and long-term planning and implementation.
  • Developed a health and safety training program, implementation plan, and program manual for the San Francisco Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
  • Instituted engineered safety and ergonomic controls during project development, start-up and on-going operations in one-of-a-kind plutonium stabilization, waste packaging and laboratory processes at a former nuclear weapons plant. Designed innovative drum ventilation system to capture radiological and chemical contaminants during repackaging operations.
  • Conducted occupational health and safety assessments of large semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Japan and Taiwan, in coordination with Texas Instruments, utilizing the subject country and U.S. regulations. Presented findings and recommendations to executive management in-country and U.S. parent company.
  • Provided Apple Computers with regulation applicability interpretation and supporting documentation, demonstrating that they were not subject to the scope of a specific OSHA regulation, eliminating the necessity to implement and maintain a costly compliance program.
  • Managed the Respiratory Protection Program of the world's largest single user site of respiratory protection. Instituted major changes to the program designed to increase worker comfort and safety and save the site several hundred thousand dollars.
  • Lead field team investigator for the $4,000,000 Rocky Flats Toxicological Review and Dose Reconstruction project, performed for the Colorado Department of Health. Responsible as the primary on-site investigator and coordinator of investigative activities, maintaining close communications with plant authorities to assure unobstructed access to documentation and the free flow of information to project personnel.
